Screengrab taken from a live music video Im working on with director Trevor Kane.
Kevin Drew, of Broken Social Scene fame, has a new album out. It’s called “darlings” and it’s pretty great. The track above, “Bullshit Ballad”, is one of my favorites. Sit back and take a listen.
New Music Video for Dog Bite
This was hands down the most fun I have ever had directing a video. I feel like it shows. We had a whole treatment/shot list ready to go, and myself and Phil (Dog Bite) decided to scrap it the day before shooting. This was the result of creating an eccentric character, and deciding what goes on in his daily life of being a local rockstar.
If you like Modeselektor, and you like Apparat, then you will love Moderat. Their second album together recently came out and it’s almost flawless. The second I heard the synth in this song I was sold.
Sunday, we closed out the Week of KRIT with a preview of KRIT’s new album, Cadillactica.
Im sure a few of you had the chance to see the 35 second spot that was released. Here I’ve shared the 50 second Directors Cut. Take a look above and enjoy.
Some of you may know that I had the amazing opportunity to go on tour with Krit, Talib Kweli & Macklemore on their US Tour. When you’re on the road for that long, you can’t help seeing your peers for who they really are. Krit is one of the most humble, hard working & kind people I have ever met.
This tour was a huge stepping stone for him. On day one, I saw him as a vulnerable individual trying to ride the waves. He had no clue how huge this tour was until he stepped on stage to see 10,000 people on the first night. Throughout our travels we all had time to reflect, but we all had one thing in common : progression. The trip was one large stepping stone, which is how I’ve come to name our documentary “Steps”.
Watch “Steps”, and hopefully it will inspire you to keep going.

Lately I’ve been extremely interested in photo journalism, and this guy takes the cake. Daniel Zvereff beautifully bridges the gap between journalism, art and just being an inspiration.
I highly recommend for everyone to take a look at all of his journal entries. You will find some incredible photographs, drawings and words.
